Descripción - Críticas This is a very welcome addition to an increasingly important and complex area of cardiac care. The authors have produced a high quality study aid. (Dewi E. Thomas, Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology, British Journal of Cardiology, 22 (133), 2015)Electrophysiologists, cardiology trainees, technical consultants, and students/fellows studying for the EHRA exam in cardiac pacing are highly likely to be more than content with this extraordinary book (CardioPulse)The 'EHRA Book of Pacemaker, ICD, and CRT Troubleshooting' by Haran Burri et al. represents an exceptionally well written and enjoyable to read example of [a complilation of patient cases] ... The study of this book results in the reader gaining a large amount of theoretical 'experience' in a variety of problems encountered in everyday clinical practice ... Electrophysiologists, cardiology trainees, technical consultants, and students/fellows studying for the EHRA exam in cardiac pacing are highly likely to be more than content with this extraordinary book ... Even experienced device experts can profit (Jan Steffel, MD FESC, Co-chair Invasive Electrophysiology and Devices, University of Zurich)The bottom line is this book is a must have for any clinician who cares for cardiac patients with implantable devices (Kenneth A Ellenbogen, MD, FAHA, FACC, FHRS. Kontos Professor of Cardiology, Chairman of Cardiology, VCU School of Medicine)This book by Dr Burri, Dr Israel, and Dr Deharo is a godsend (S Serge Barold, MD. Clinical Professor of Medicine Emeritus, University of Rochester)Whether you are an EMT, nurse, medical student, or physician wanting to learn or brush up on your knowledge of pacemaker, ICD, or CRT troubleshooting, this text will meet your needs (Angelo Auricchio, MD, PHD, FESC. Director Clinical Electrophysiology Programme, Division of Cardiology, Fondazione Cardiocentro Ticino, Lugano, Switzerland) Reseña del editor An essential companion for both the aspiring and practising electrophysiologist, The EHRA Book of Pacemaker, ICD and CRT Troubleshooting assists device specialists in tackling both common and unusual situations that that they may encounter during daily practice. Taking a case-based approach, it examines pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy. Much more than just a technical manual of device algorithms, the cases help readers to consolidate their technical knowledge, and improve their reasoning and observation skills so they are able to tackle device troubleshooting with confidence. The 70 cases are arranged in three sections by increasing levels of difficulty to walk readers through all the skills and knowledge they need in an easy to use and structured format. Each case contains a short clinical description and a device tracing followed by a multiple choice question. Answers are supplied with detailed annotations of the tracing and an in-depth discussion of the case, highlighting practical hints and tips as well as providing an overview of the technical function of devices. A useful summary of principal device features and functions is also included. The EHRA Book of Pacemaker, ICD and CRT Troubleshooting is the perfect companion for electrophysiologists, cardiology trainees and technical consultants working with device patients as well as for those studying for the EHRA accreditation exam in cardiac pacing.
